PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scanner unit installation recording apparatus provided with a scanning holder wherein insertion to a nip of a transfer roller is performed smoothly even when an original is warped, and colliding and rubbing to a printer head or the like are eliminated. SOLUTION: When an original is positioned at a reading starting position, at the tip side of a fixing part of the scanning holder, one of the tip edge of a pasteboard and the tip edge of a cover is protruded to a downstream as far as the tip edge is caught in the nip between a paper discharge roller and a spur of the scanner installation recording apparatus. A constitution is so performed that the reading of the original is started from a state that the tip end protruded to the downstream is caught in the nip between the paper discharge roller and a spur. Fixing by overlapping is also performed at the side end edge of one side of the scanning holder, and the reserved spouting of ink during reading is performed only at a side wherein the side end edge is fixed.
