PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens driver which is miniaturized by simple configuration and can correct spherical aberrations. SOLUTION: An objective lens 11, a focusing coil 13, and tracking coils 14 and 15 are mounted on a lens bobbin 12 and a relay lens 21 and a driving coil 23 are mounted on a lens bobbin 22. The lens bobbins 12 and 22 are supported at a holder 31 coupled to a base 51 by means of flexures 16 and 26 while yokes 54a and 55a are respectively inserted into two through-holes. An objective lens actuator is formed by an objective lens fixing section 1, a holder section 3 and a magnetic circuit section 5. A relay lens actuator for correcting the spherical aberrations is formed by a first relay lens fixing section 2, the holder section 3, the magnetic circuit section 5, and a second relay lens section 4 so as to move the first reley lens fixing section 2 to an optical axis. Since the holder section and the magnetic circuit section are commonly used, the lens driver is miniaturized. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
