PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contents distribution system or the like providing contents authentication even in a low performance contents receiver such as a portable communication terminal.

SOLUTION: In the contents distribution system, the contents receiver 10 is provided with an ADF acquiring part 12 acquiring an ADF containing a storage position of a contents file from a contents transmitter 50, a contents file acquiring part 13 acquiring the contents file from the contents transmitter 50 on the basis of the storage position of the contents file included in the ADF, and an authentication result acquiring part 14 sending contents authentication information and the contents file included in the ADF and acquiring an authentication result with respect to the contents file from a contents authenticating device 40. The contents authenticating device 40 sends the authentication result with respect to the contents file carried out by using the contents authentication information and the contents file to the contents receiver 10.
