PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image input output apparatus which prevents foreign maters placed on an original cover from entering a paper supply port. SOLUTION: The image input output apparatus is provided with: the original cover 95 connected to an enclosure 92 in a freely rocking way to cover an original platen; an image read section housed in the enclosure 92 and scanning an original placed on the original platen to create image data; a print section housed in the enclosure 93 to print an image on a print medium; a paper supply port formed under a rocking axial line of the original cover 95 of the enclosure 93 to supply a print medium to the print section; a paper base 99 placed in the vicinity of the paper supply port to hold the print medium; a foreign material avoidance cover 94 placed under the rocking axial line of the original cover 95, covering at least the upper part in the vicinity of the paper supply power of the paper base 99 and tilted upward from the end of the paper supply port toward the end opposite to the paper supply port; and a pool section provided to the end of the paper supply port of the foreign mater cover 94 or its vicinity and for pooling the foreign maters dropped along the foreign mater cover 94.
