PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grip adapter for a camera freely attached to/detached from a camera, stably attached thereto and having housing property by moving after it is attached. SOLUTION: The grip adapter 12 is attached to the camera 2 by inserting the projection 14a of a 2nd adapter part 14 in the positioning hole 7 of the camera 2, and fitting the screw 18 of a 1st adapter part 13 in the screw hole 10 of the camera 2 and fastening it by the turning operation of the head of the screw 18 exposed from the 1st adapter part 13. At such a time, the grip part 17 is set to a position (projecting position) where it largely projects below the camera 2 by turning, and is also set to a position (housing position) where it covers the camera 2 so that the right side surface of the camera 2 may not largely protrude.
