The glass window with view protection has electro-rheological fluid arranged on it and devices for application of an electrical field. The viscosity of the fluid is alterable by the electrical field. The glass window is divided into sectors and the viscosity of the fluid in the individual sectors is individually alterable by the electrical field. The fluid comprises a dispersion of particles, forming chains in the electrical field.
