PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that a high frequency heating device is stabilized in a state of moding oscillation in transition from the start to the stationary state in the case of using a three-phase power source to shorten the life of a magnetron. SOLUTION: The high frequency heating device comprises a control circuit 19 controlling a filament power source 13 heating a cathode of the magnetron 11, and an inverter circuit 2 supplying electric power to an anode driven by the output of a three-phase rectifier circuit. As the oscillation of the magnetron is controlled only in the state that the filament is sufficiently heated, by supplying power to the inverter circuit 2 after the filament gets into a stable state, the phenomenon of the generation of initial moding and stabilization in the state of initial moding is sharply suppressed.
