PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optically active metallocene compound having a new structure and useful as an asymmetric catalyst source; its intermediate, i.e. an optically active 3-cyclopentadienyl-1-propene derivative or an optically active 3-indenyl-1-propene derivative; and a production method therefor. SOLUTION: This production method for an optically active 3-cyclopentadienyl-1-propene derivative or an optically active 3-indenyl-1-propene derivative comprises reacting an allyl compound with a cyclopentadienyl metal salt or an indenyl metal salt using a catalyst system comprising a Pd complex and an optically active P-N type bidentate ligand.
