PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a skin care preparation for external use having excellent action to effectively remove active oxygen after tanning without inducing a transient stimulation by the applied skin care preparation. SOLUTION: This skin care preparation for external use contains (1) an acylated derivative of glucosyl-L-ascorbic acid and (2) a sucrose fatty acid ester and/or polyglycerol fatty acid ester. The acyl group of the acylated derivative of glucosyl-L-ascorbic acid is an 8-20C branched aliphatic acyl group. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
