PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve visibility in a through image in the decision of the composition of a photography even if the difference in luminance between an electronic view finder (a display means) and environment is small. SOLUTION: The electronic camera comprises an imaging means 12 for imaging an object, generation means 13 to 15 for generating image data for recording based on the output of the imaging means, a change means 16 for changing a color tone in the image data for recording, and display means 17, 18 for displaying the image data after being changed by the change means.
