PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem on the occurrence of irregular color caused by polarized light which does not occur in the CRT light source because projected video light has polarizing property in a projection display using an LCD light valve as a light source. SOLUTION: The projection screen is constituted of a Fresnel lens sheet, which is constituted by forming a Fresnel lens part 2 on a base sheet 1 by a thermal cast method or a UV cast method. The rate of change depending on the position of induced birefringence in 590nm wavelength on the base sheet 1 is set to≤40nm/cm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
