The uniform coating, with at least one layer of plastic material, of a glass or porous ceramic surface consists of heating the surface to the softening temperature of the plastic material and then applying the plastic material on the heated surface with the aid of a fluidized bed. - Independent claims are also included for: - (a) a hollow body of glass or a porous material with its internal and/or external surfaces coated by this method; - (b) a flat body of glass or porous material with its outer surface coated by this method.
