PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair wherein a heavy load is not imposed on a nursing person when a person to be nursed gets on and off the wheelchair. SOLUTION: A carrying means 13 for the person to be nursed is provided between a seat part forming frame 1 and an arm rest 5 and the carrying means 13 is provided with the first arm 3 fixed on the seat part forming frame 1, the second arm 4 provided on the top end part side of the first arm 3 and a device for rotating the second arm 4 and the first arm 3 is inclined to the front of the seat 24 on which the person to be nursed sits from the fixed position and the second arm 4 is movable back and forth between the regular position of the seat 24 side and the front position of the seat 24 by means of the device for rotating while the arm rest 5 is horizontally held.
