<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cartridge type applicator which prevents backflow of a coating liquid from a coating part into a cartridge and is suitable also for the use of the coating liquid of high viscosity. <P>SOLUTION: The cartridge type applicator has a hollow holder body, the coating part so provided as to be projected partially at the fore end of the holder body and a substantially tubular cartridge tank which is so provided that it can be inserted removably from the rear end inside the holder body and which stores the coating liquid and can supply it to the coating part. The applicator is provided with a seal plug member which forms the rear end wall of the tank, a rod member which is fitted to the seal plug member and moves this in the axial direction of the tank and an operating member which rotates to move the rod member and the seal plug member. The applicator is so constituted that the seal plug member is moved axially by the rotation of the operating member through the intermediary of the rod member, so as to reduce the capacity of the tank. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
