PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve high density in the track density of an magneto-optical disk and perform stable tracking servo and seeking operations.

SOLUTION: Deep grooves 6aG and 6bG and shallow grooves 7aG and 7bG formed at the nearly center part between the deep grooves and having a V-shaped section are formed on a magneto-optical disk so as to be adjacently disposed. The deep grooves 6aG and 6bG are wobbled and data are recorded in three tracks of two lands 6aL and 6bL partitioned by the deep grooves and the shallow grooves between the deep grooves and land 7aL and 7bL. The shallow grooves 7aG and 7bG are not wobbled. A CTS signal is obtained by a sum signal (A+B+C+D) of a photo detector 8. The CTS signal has a satisfactory amplitude. A push-pull signal is obtained by a difference signal (A+D)-(B+C) of the photo detector 8.
