摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the number of times of X-ray reciprocation in folding amplification is limited to several times and there are limitations in the reduction of Fresnel number since gain time in an X-ray amplification medium is short in a plasma X-ray source by pulse laser irradiation. <P>SOLUTION: In a method for amplifying intensity in X-ray laser and improving spatial coherence by using laser-generated plasma, a first target is irradiated with pulse laser beams for X-ray laser oscillation from the outside, X-ray laser pulse having poor spacial coherence is generated from the target, the laser pulse is introduced to a second target, and the second target is irradiated with pulse laser beams for generating another linear plasma by condensing light at timing for allowing the X-ray laser pulse from the first target to pass, thus oscillating the X-ray laser where amplification is made and the spatial coherence is improved. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
