PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a leakage detector for an electrically-propelled vehicle which can detect capacitive AC leakage occurring between a high voltage circuit and a chassis due to oil leakage of a motor. SOLUTION: The leakage detector 30 is provided with a band pass filter (BPF) 35, an amplitude (AM) detection circuit 36, and an A/D converter 37 for detecting the voltage amplitude VDC of inverter frequency signal on the input side of an inverter 14, and a leakage detecting part 381 which judges that there is capacitive AC leakage (17) on output side of the inverter 14 in case that the detected voltage amplitude is at or over a specified value.
