PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a surface mounting oscillator to which a protection material is easily injected by promoting miniaturization. SOLUTION: In the surface mounting crystal oscillator provided with a mount board housing an IC chip and consisting of a bottom wall and a frame wall on the lower face of a crystal oscillator, an opening is formed at a part of the frame wall of the mount board to arrange a chip element, a filler is embedded between the opening and the chip element to form a pier with the chip element, and the protection material of the IC chip is injected.
