<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and material for increasing yield of a foreign protein. <P>SOLUTION: This invention provides a method of expressing a non-yeast protein under the control of ADH (alcohol dehydrogenase) 2 control sequence in an yeast host having enhanced ADRI expression, and a transformed yeast host. Provided is a transformed yeast which has an expression cassette incorporated in a genome containing a coding sequence of ADRI under the control of a transcription initiation sequence and a transcription termination sequence recognized by the yeast and the transcription initiation sequence is a promotor except an ADR1 promotor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
