PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily and surely perform a point-setting operation. SOLUTION: This route-searching apparatus searches a traveling route between set start and end points, and guides the route based on the route searched. The apparatus includes an end point name display means (start point name display means) for displaying the set end point (start point) name during route searching. For example, the name of the end (start) point is a place name attached to an approaching point of the end (start) point searched based on the end (start) point, and further a place name is deduced from node information of a proximity node of the end (start) point.
