<p>Toggle lever clamping device for gripping and clamping panels, etc., comprises a cylinder, preferably a pneumatic cylinder (2), preferably loaded on both sides with compressed air, which is mounted in a clamping housing (1) and has a linearly displaceable piston actuating clamping arms (5, 6) when connected in series to articulated levers. The two clamping arms are pivoted with the aid of the one and the same piston between a clamping position and a receiving position.
