摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving method and a driving device for light emitting elements in which the rate of rise from the supply start of driving current to light emission is fast and which can perform high-speed scanning. <P>SOLUTION: The light emitting elements E<SB>1, 1</SB>to E<SB>256, 64</SB>are connected at respective intersection points of anode lines A<SB>1</SB>to A<SB>256</SB>and cathode lines B<SB>1</SB>to B<SB>64</SB>, and ones are set as scan lines and the others are set as drive lines. A driving source is connected to drive lines to which one end of a light emitting element that should emit light is connected among light emitting elements, the other end of which is connected to a scanned scan line while the scan line is scanned at a predetermined period to thereby cause current flow through a parasitic capacity of the light emitting element that should emit light and a drive line and a scan line to which the parasitic capacity is connected charging the parasitic capacity, which makes voltage at both ends of the parasitic capacity equally to or greater than a specified value to emit light. Before scan switching to the next scan line, all of the scan lines and the drive lines are respectively connected to a reset voltage composed of the same potentials 0V (or V<SB>CC</SB>) to make potential charged of parasitic capacity of all light emitting elements to be an identical zero state. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
