WAVEGUIDE ANTENNA ASSEMBLY AND ARRAY ANTENNA INSTRUMENT USING IT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antenna device of simple structure capable of strongly emitting a radio wave in one direction. SOLUTION: The waveguide antenna device is constructed by providing with a square waveguide and an antenna element 13. The square waveguide comprises a grounding conductive material 11 and a ceiling conductive material 15 in face to face with each other, and two side conductive materials 14a, 14b which connect the grounding conductive material 11 and the ceiling conductive material 15 also in face to face with each other. One end is short-circuited by a terminal conductive material 14c and the other end is opened. The antenna 13 is electrically connected with the vicinity of the other end of the square waveguide whose one end is the ceiling conductive material and is opened, and the other end is electrically connected with a power supplying section which is positioned at the grounding conductive material. A part of the opened other end of the ceiling conductive material 15 is removed, and the radio wave of a radio signal which is supplied to the power supplying section 12 is emitted from the removed section of the ceiling conductive material 15 and the opened other end of the square waveguide.
