Each contact blade (24) comprises an intermediary arm (52) which is supported by the insulating support (22) and which connects the parallel contact (40) and connection (46) arms to one another. Each intermediary arm extends horizontally through the thickness of the insulating support along an axis that is essentially perpendicular to the axis of the contact and connection arms, such that each contact blade is essentially U shaped. The electrical connector consists of an insulating support which is defined by (i) an upper face (26) comprising a series of contact arms projecting out above same, each of the arms belonging to a contact blade, and (ii) a lower face (28) comprising a series of connection arms projecting out beneath or level with same, each of the arms belonging to a contact blade.
