PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic document conveyance device and an image reading device capable of shortening the time required for reading conveyance operation by a simple configuration. SOLUTION: This automatic document conveyance device 300 mounted in the image reading device 200 capable of reading both faces by a sheet through system is provided with a switching claw 19 supported on a shaft of a second inversion driven roller 31a to switch the direction of conveyance of a document 1 by turning to a position A or a position B. The switching claw 19 is provided with a guide face 19b guiding the document whose one face is read to a discharge tray 20 from a reading position, a guide face 19a guiding the document whose both faces are read to an inversion table 23 from the reading position, and a guide face 19c guiding the document whose both faces are read to the discharge tray 20 from the inversion table 23 without passing the reading position.
