<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make high resistance to plate wear and stain resistance compatible with each other. <P>SOLUTION: The support for a lithographic printing plate is obtained by applying a surface roughing process including an electrochemical surface roughing process and an anode oxidation process to an aluminum sheet. The aluminum sheet contains 0.1 to 0.5 mass% of Fe, 0.02 to 0.10 mass% of Si, 0 to 0.05 mass% of Ti, below 0.005 mass% of Cu and the remainder of Al and an unavoidable impurity. In addition, the surface of the support is of a grained pattern under the structure that the middle ripple structure with an average opening diameter of 0.5 to 5 μm and a small ripple structure with an average opening diameter of 0.01 to 0.2 μm are lapped over each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
