LINE LIGHT GENERATION OPTICAL SYSTEM, AND LASER MARKING DEVICE USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line light generation optical system capable of easily obtaining line light having an arbitrary line width by using a simple optical system and a laser marking device mounted with the optical system. SOLUTION: The optical system makes the light beam from a semiconductor laser incident on a rod lens to generate the line light and a prism which shapes the light beam is arranged in a portion of the optical path extending from the light source to the rod lens; and the laser light is made incident on one of two surfaces of the prism which contains a vertical angle and projected from the other to adjust the lengthwise beam diameter of the rod lens.
