<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a process for the carbonization of the organic sludge of refuse such as human excrement and domestic wastes. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus for the carbonization of organic cake comprise a freezing mechanism 3 to freeze organic cake having a water content of 70-90 wt.%, a thawing mechanism 5 to thaw the organic cake frozen by the freezing mechanism 3, a centrifugal mechanism 6 to dehydrate the organic cake thawed by the thawing mechanism 5, a compression molding mechanism 7 to compression mold the organic cake dehydrated by the centrifugal mechanism 6, and a firing mechanism 8 to burn and carbonize the organic cake molded by the compression molding mechanism 7 at high temperatures. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
