The bracket (2) can hold the ends of two wooden laths butted together end-to-end. It is made of steel sheet bent into a U- shape with pressed triangular-section profiles (8,10) in the center portions of the bottom (4) and sides (6). The bottom and sides are flat apart from the outward-extending profiles. Two holes (20) in the bottom accommodate fastening screws. The ends of the flat side portions (14,18) slope at an angle and may be joggled. There are holes (26) to accommodate fastening screws.
