PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently producing tubers of potato at a low cost. SOLUTION: The method for producing the tubers comprises hydroponically cultivating potato, in an above-ground part-rearing period, under a 10-15 hours photoperiodic condition and, at night, at <25°C lowest temperature and≥3°C diurnal range to daytime temperatures so as to grow stolon in a liquid or in a gaseous phase and to form the tuber on the stolon.
