PURPOSE: A group buying system and method thereof is provided to activate a web site by providing products to purchasers at discounted prices in case of the group buying. CONSTITUTION: A group buying server(1) includes a group buying management unit(15), a cooperative compensation management unit(20) and a control unit(10). The group buying management unit(15) manages information on group buying. The group buying management unit(15) includes a product information database(11) which stores information on products, a user database(16) which stores information on users, a purchaser database(17) which stores information on purchasers, a payment unit(18) which manages purchasers' payment and a communication unit(19) which obtains approval of an approval system. The cooperative compensation management unit(20) includes a cooperative behavior information database(21) which stores information on cooperative behaviors and a compensation point database(22) which stores cooperative compensation points. The control unit(10) stores determined cooperative compensation points in the compensation point database(22) in case that a user performs cooperative behaviors.
