SINGLE PLATE TYPE COLOR IMAGE DISPLAY DEVICE

PURPOSE: A single plate type color image display device is provided to realize a wide color gamut range. CONSTITUTION: A color separator(120) is formed of a plurality of reflective type dichroic filters(121,123,125) to separate lights emitted from a light source(100) according to wavelength, wherein the dichroic filter reflecting a red light is placed at the last. A microdisplay(140) controls the lights emitted from the light source and separated by the color separator by pixel units according to an inputted picture signal to form a color image. A spiral lens(110) has a lens cell array formed in spiral shape, and a mask(115) installed at boundary parts of lens cells for preventing color mix between color bars. When the spiral lens is driven by a motor, a rotary motion of the lens cell array is converted into a straight-line motion of a lens array to realize color scrolling.
