<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a level conversion circuit 11 that converts input signals IN, inverse of IN into output signals OUT', inverse of OUT' with a level of a power voltage, provides the outputs by switching internal transistors P1 to P4 and N1, N2 in response to the input signals IN, inverse of IN, has a wide operating margin and low power consumption even when a voltage difference between the input signals and the power voltage is great. <P>SOLUTION: A switch circuit 15 for selecting a VCC or a VEE is provided to one power line 13 of a level shifter 12 comprising the transistors P1 to P4 and N1, N2, and a storage circuit 16 for maintaining an output voltage is provided to an output side. Then power is fed to the level shifter 12 only in the case of state transition. Thus, the transistors to be turned off after the state transition are surely turned off to suppress a through-current after the state transition and to reduce the power consumption, resulting in that the output voltage is fully swung up to the power voltage to provide a wide operating margin. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
