PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic endoscope apparatus which has operation button switches where desired functions are assigned, stores the assigned functions, and calls up the stored functions easily. SOLUTION: The electronic endoscope apparatus is equipped with a scope unit 10 having a flexible insertion tube 11, a processing unit 30 connected to the scope unit 10 detachably, and a plurality of operation button switches 15a, 15b, 15c on an operation unit 13 provided on an end part opposite from an insertion part for the inside of the body of the flexible insertion tube 11, and has an EEPRO 19 which stores the functions of controlling the movements by the operation of each operation button switch 15a, 15b, 15c. A main CPU 35 changes the functions of controlling the movements by each operation button switch 15a, 15b, 15c after receiving an input through a key board 41. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
