PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic apparatus for receiving a broadcast program that provides only a program requested by a user with high accuracy without imposing much labor on the user in the case of selecting a program whose viewing is preferred among broadcast programs. SOLUTION: The electronic apparatus is provided with: an extracted preference information storage section for storing preference information extracted by a preference information extract section as extracted preference information; a program searching limit information storage section for storing program searching limit information to limit searching of programs on the basis of a type of genre information included in the program information stored in a program information storage section; a program searching section that particularizes the program searching limit information stored in the program searching limit information storage section and searches a program with the program information coincident with or similar to the preference information stored in the extracted preference information storage section among programs stored in the program information storage section according to the particularized program searching limit information; and an output section for outputting the program searched by the program searching section.
