<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress power consumption associated with a starting process without making users particularly conscious of an image formation starting timing or the like also when an image formation apparatus is sparsely frequently used. <P>SOLUTION: When a printer engine is in an instant formation unable state (Y in step S12), the presence/absence of a grace period to an image formation based on image data is judged on the basis of a set output time limit (S13). When the grace period to the image formation is present (Y in S13), inputted image data is stored in a storage device (S15). In the case where the printer engine is in an instant formation enable state (N in S12) or in the case where the grace period to the image formation which is judged on the basis of the set output time limit is absent (N in S13), images based on inputted image data and image data stored in the storage device are formed by the printer engine (S17). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
