<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and a method for evaluating the risk of taking dental caries, which can keep an intraoral environment in the best state by making a subject himself/herself accurately understand the risk of taking the dental caries and making the subject adequately communicate with a dentist. <P>SOLUTION: This system comprises: a measuring instrument 3 for measuring chemical physical properties of saliva 36 which is collected from the intraoral part of the subject 2; a server 4 which has the risk evaluating function of evaluating a risk S<SB>1</SB>that the subject 2 may take the dental caries, through the use of a measured value S<SB>0</SB>of the chemical physical properties, measured by means of the measuring instrument 3, by virtue of the provision of a database 5 constituted by recording evaluation reference data 16 for evaluating the risk S<SB>1</SB>from the measured value S<SB>0</SB>; a terminal 6 which comprises at least the evaluation output function of outputting the evaluation of the risk S1; and the Internet 7 for performing at least one of the inputs and outputs of data among the measuring instrument 3, the server 4 and the terminal 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
