LCD AND FABRICATING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display device and a method for fabricating the same are provided to patterning both edge parts of spacers for easily obtaining desired height and width of the spacers. CONSTITUTION: A liquid crystal display device includes spacers(80) formed in the ink-jet manner and having patterned both edge parts. The spacers are formed overlapping gate lines(60) rather than data lines, since the gate lines have a width larger than the data lines. When spraying spacers onto a lower substrate by the ink-jet manner, a lot of amount of spacers are sprayed to obtain a desired height. Both edge parts of the spacers facing an image display area are patterned to prevent the spacers from being formed beyond a non-display area.
