The arrangement has a primary conductor formed by a current conductor of a main circuit breaker current path and a core as the carrier of a secondary winding for supplying the trigger magnet when a short circuit current occurs in the primary conductor. The core has an additional magnetic branch that bridges a core section with the secondary winding and that magnetically saturates if a short circuit current is flowing in the primary conductor. The arrangement has a primary conductor (2) formed by a current conductor of a main current path of the circuit breaker and a core (3) as the carrier of a secondary winding (5) for supplying the trigger magnet (7) when a short circuit current occurs in the primary conductor. The core has an additional magnetic branch (6) that bridges a section of the core provided with the secondary winding and that magnetically saturates when a short circuit current is flowing in the primary conductor as a result of its dimensions.
