FIELD: agriculture, in particular, erosion preventive soil tillage for cultivation of tilled and perennial farm crops on even and mountain lands. SUBSTANCE: method involves providing slit deblocking of compacted tractor caterpillar or wheel tracks combined with layer-by-layer active plowing of deblocking zone for preventing soil from water erosion by providing soil water retention, disintegrating and mellowing of soil arable layer and, accordingly, creating favorable water-and-air condition mode for feeding of plant root system. Apparatus has two blocked slitters arranged along width of track strips formed by traveling tractor propelling devices. Each of slitters has tine carrying slitting devices arranged in tiers and inclined to opposite sides in slitter advancement direction. Rotating mellowing units are arranged in tiers between each pair of blocked slitters. Mellowing unit pins are offset with respect to one another in vertical plane and synchronously coupled by means of chain transmission. Knives are staggered on mellowing unit pins in axially offset and overlapped relation in vertical plane and positioned in diametrically opposite phase relation. Such construction allows passage depth to be stabilized, soil of track strips formed by traveling tractor propelling devices to be disintegrated and arable layer to be mellowed along the entire width of deblocking zone.
