PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce an unclean feeling and an unpleasant feeling at cleaning time by using a drain unit for sanitary equipment such as a bathroom and a washstand. SOLUTION: This drain unit has a drain unit body 5 and a drain perforated plate 6 fitted to an inner peripheral part. The drain perforated plate 6 forms the outer periphery of a frame body 10, and has a freely deformable recessed mesh part 11 inside. An almost central upper surface of the mesh part 11 is provided with a projecting part 12 having the tip projected from an upper surface of the drain unit body, and a shape of the mesh part 11 is constituted so as to be deformed in a projecting shape from a recessed shape by applying upward tensile force to the projecting part 12. Thus, hair and a waste matter gathered in the mesh part 11 are floated from a mesh part surface, and can be easily removed. The projecting part 12 can reduce sticking of a stain, and can reduce the unclean feeling and the unpleasant feeling at a cleaning time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
