PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a specific image detection device, a specific image detection method, program, a recording medium and aspecific image detection system, by which a specific target image can be detected out of continuous images with high efficiency in real time. SOLUTION: In the specific image detection device 20, an input frame image and a frame image delayed through a delay circuit 5 are supplied to a quiescence determining part 6. When the ratio of luminance change between both the input frame image and the delayed frame image is not larger than a prescribed threshold, the input frame image is detected as a candidate image. Image features acquiring parts 3 and 7 respectively acquire the features of the input frame image (registered image) and the candidate image when a user makes a registration instruction. The features of the registered image is stored in a features table 4. A similarity determining part 8 determines the similarity between the characteristic amount stored in the features table 4 and the features of the candidate image, and displays the candidate image as a particular image on a sub-monitor 11 through a presentation control part 9 when the features are similar to each other.
