PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light wheelchair loading device capable of holding a wheelchair in the wheelchair loading device easily and having a simple structure. SOLUTION: This wheelchair loading device is provided with a carrier box which is a boxlike structural body capable of storing the wheelchair through a storage port and a carrier box transfer mechanism capable of transferring the carrier box between a roof of a vehicle and a side of the vehicle instead of a conventional wheelchair loading device of the vehicle capable of loading the wheelchair on the roof of the vehicle. When the carrier box transfer mechanism transfers the carrier box to the side of the vehicle, wheels of the wheelchair are rolled to carry the wheelchair into the carrier box from a road surface.
