PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wire for a brush which has high strength and high elasticity, and has reduced buckling and breaking, and has increased durability and operability as an interdental brush, and to provide interdental brush product by the wire. SOLUTION: The wire for an interdental brush is formed of an austenitic stainless steel wire having a composition comprising, by mass, 0.08 to 0.15% C,≤1.0% Si,≤2.0% Mn, 4.5 to 7.0% Ni, 15.5 to 17.5% Cr and 0.05 to 0.30% N, and in which 2C+N is controlled to 0.3 to 0.6%, and having a tensile strength of≥1,200 MPa at an elongation at break of 40 to 60% by a tensile test.
