<p>Wall or floor tiles are laid in a plastic template which, as shown, acts to provide a grout - like region between the tiles without the use of mortar or adhesives. In other variants, a brick wall is erected using a plastics former which takes the place of conventional mortar (Fig 2), patio slabs are laid on a plastic matrix incorporating necessary drainage falls, and without the use of adhesives (Fig 3), a roof tiling matrix of plastics with an integrally formed ridge member is used (Fig 4), a plastics matrix is used for tiles in a suspended ceiling (Fig 5) and a plastics matrix is used to separate tiles of a fireplace surround (Fig 6).</p> |
