PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable only a device which is qualified to receive contents to receive and use the contents.

SOLUTION: Contents access management allows a contents request to be received from a device 102. Responsive to the contents request, an identifier of a source of the contents and one or a plurality of keys allowing the device 102 to decode the contents are transmitted together from an inquiry source 104 to the device 102. The device 102 then acquires contents 116 from a contents source 106 as needed and is allowed to decode and use the contents 116.
