PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outrigger device for a carrier capable of simply and easily correcting the horizontality of the carriage even on an irregular ground surface. SOLUTION: This outrigger device comprises a right and left pair of fixing brackets 11 fixed on right and left sides of the rear end of the carriage 4 outward of the carriage in a truncated chevron shape, semi-spherical rotating bodies 12 turnably pivoted to the fixing brackets 11, and right and left support arms 13 connected and fixed to the rotating bodies 12 at base ends and having grounding plates 13a at the tips, and it is arranged between the fixing brackets 11 and the rotating bodies 12. It is provided with a grounding level automatic adjusting device 14 for automatically adjusting levels of the grounding plates 13a of the tips of the support arms 13 connected and fixed to the rotating bodies 12 according to the level of the ground and correcting the horizontality of the carrier 4.
