<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a high quality image by preventing color slippage regardless of the uneven thickness of an intermediate transfer medium with a simple constitution. <P>SOLUTION: The distance between a first positional information and a second positional information is recorded at a prescribed time interval (ts) at a photosensitive body 18, then a detection time interval (tr) between the first positional information and the second positional information is measured by a resist sensor 41 to discriminate the ratio of ts to tr. When tr/ts>1, it is judged that the driving speed of an intermediate transfer belt 10 is decreased between the time of recording and the time of detecting the positional information, and speed information for increasing motor speed in a section between the detection of the first information and the detection of the second positional information by the resist sensor 41 is determined. When tr/ts<1, it is judged that the driving speed of the intermediate transfer belt 10 is increased between the time of recording and the time of detecting the positional information, and the motor speed in a section between the detection of the first information and the detection of the second positional information by the resist sensor 41 is decreased. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
