PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To resolve problems found in a prior art heat accumulation tank set at the underground of a building, i.e.: (a) a connected type mixing water tank has a low heat accumulating efficiency of about 65%, and is not suitable for accumulating a large amount of heat; (b) a general temperature stratified heat accumulation tank constructed as a single tank does not have a low water level, making it necessary that the body of the building above must have a special structure, thereby increasing the cost; (c) a low water level temperature stratified heat accumulation tank needs diffusers for each space, thereby increasing the cost. SOLUTION: A plurality of divided heat accumulation tanks 1 are provided in a row having partitioned walls 2 with communicating parts provided through which water can communicate. Diffusers 3 structured to be long in the horizontal direction are provided in the upper and lower positions inside the heat accumulation tank 1 at the end of the row of the tanks 1 so that the water intake and discharge directions are directed sideways toward the partitioned wall 2 of the adjacent accumulation tank 1. Each of the partitioned walls 2 are provided with communication parts 4 which are long in the horizontal direction at the upper and lower positions corresponding to the water intake and discharge directions of the diffusers 3.
