The refrigerator cabinet (10) has a thermally insulating housing (10.1) with a front access opening closed by a thermally-insulating cover, provided by at least two thermally-insulating hollow roller shutter elements (14,15) of a transparent or translucent material, which are displaced longitudinally via guide grooves provided along the edges of the housing sidewalls (11). Internal illumination for the refrigerator cabinet, provided by an LED rail, can be switched by contacting a handgrip (22,23) for operation of the cover.
